ENGINEERING MANAGER (PYTHON) - Hybrid, Dublin
Search 5.0 is proud to be partnering with an incredible award-winning, Dublin-based company that helps customer care teams understand their customers better through AI, ML, automation, and people.
They are now looking for an Engineering Manager (80% management/ 20% hands-on coding) to lead a team of developers building and maintaining a Python and React web application. This will be an exciting role for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about leadership and who can also be involved in the design and implementation of new features within their platform.
What you will be doing:
- Meet clients to discuss issues, feature requests, and configuration/setup of their system.
- Facilitate sprints, running sprint start/end meetings, retrospectives, stand-ups, and planning meetings.
- Plan, organise, and help with releases.
- Work with the Product team to scope new features, discuss feasibility, design high-level architectural changes, and help define approximate estimates for the work involved.
What you will need:
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead (preferably within a start-up).
- Experience working with and meeting clients.
- 5+ years of professional Python experience.
- Strong database knowledge (Postgres preferable).
- Enjoy working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
