Job: Engineering Manager
You will balance your time between hands-on development and people management, staying closely involved with your team's technical challenges and growth. This approach allows you to make direct contributions to the codebase while also mentoring, guiding, and supporting your engineers in their professional development.
This role will drive the delivery of client-facing solutions that enhance customer experience, including product features such as appointment management, check-ins, and communication.
An overview includes:
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality product solutions.
- Project Management: Drive the execution of key technical projects, ensuring that timelines, quality, and business goals are met.
- Innovation & Process Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation within the team while implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and agility.
- Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical direction & guidance with a focus on frontend development ensuring all best practices and scalability in all solutions
- Team Building: Play an active part in recruiting, onboarding and building a diverse and inclusive engineering team
- Atleast 5 years’ experience + in software engineers, with at least 2 years in leadership preferably recently.
- Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Experience in recruiting, building, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong technical frontend experience with web development technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. A focus on Ember.js would be great or other modern frameworks like React or Vue.js
- Excellent understanding of agile methodologies and experience improving team workflows and processes
