What you to know:

They are now looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer. This role is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our technology by bringing their engineering function in-house.

You will collaborate closely with an external software partner to seamlessly transition the development work and take ownership of the engineering stack internally. You will be instrumental in defining, designing, and building the technology roadmap that will support the next phase of our ambitious growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work with an outsourced development team to understand current architecture, technology, and processes, ensuring a smooth transfer of knowledge and technology in-house.
  • Establish, build, and maintain our internal engineering capabilities, ensuring best practices in development, quality, and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product, operations, and executive teams to design the technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives and enhances our core offerings.
  • Develop new features and improve existing ones, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the development process to foster collaboration, efficiency, and technical excellence.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Python development
  • Experience in transitioning projects or technical knowledge from outsourced vendors to in-house teams.
  • Strong proficiency with Django or Flask frameworks.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with database systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
